2. Required Request Information
- The requesting authority, rights holder, or representative's name, organization, title, and verifiable contact details
- A case number, legal basis, and signed or sealed request, warrant, order, or authorization
- Information that precisely identifies the target account, email, store, order, or payment
- The requested data categories and period, purpose, response deadline, and secure response method
- For urgent preservation, the specific risk, preservation scope, and requested period
3. Verification and Data Minimization
Quartz verifies the requester's identity and authority, document authenticity, jurisdiction, and legal basis. We may require clarification or limit requests that are unclear or disproportionate.
Even for a valid request, we disclose only data actually held by us and only the minimum scope necessary for the stated purpose. Where legally permitted, we may notify the affected person.
4. Preservation Requests
A preservation request must clearly identify the target, data scope, preservation period, and legal basis. We can preserve only data held when the request is received and do not restore deleted data or create records that do not exist.
Any extension request must arrive before the existing preservation period expires.
5. Emergency Requests
For a specific and imminent threat to life or physical safety, place “[Emergency Request]” in the email subject and describe the threat, target, required information, and expected harm from delay.
An emergency label does not waive legal requirements or verification of authority. A request for faster routine processing is not an emergency request.
6. Copyright and Other Rights Notices

- A notice must identify the rights holder and representative, signature and contact, the protected work or right, exact URL/store/product location, the allegedly infringing use, supporting evidence, and good-faith statements of accuracy and authority.
- For a legally sufficient notice, we may promptly disable reproduction or transmission and notify both the uploader and claimant. The uploader may submit a counter-notice showing authorization, mistake, or misidentification.
- Unless the claimant timely provides a legal basis to keep material disabled, such as notice of filed proceedings, we may restore it under applicable law. False notices and counter-notices may create liability.
- We may restrict or terminate repeat infringers and users who abuse the notice process under a reasonable repeat-infringer policy.
7. Platform and Seller Responsibilities
Selltoss is an ecommerce intermediary and is not a party to transactions in individual stores. The relevant seller is primarily responsible for product information, defects, cancellations, refunds, and transaction performance.
If promised digital delivery is not properly performed or differs from the contract, the seller must re-perform, cancel, or refund as required by law.
Quartz performs marketplace-intermediary duties concerning seller information, dispute intake, records, and harm prevention; this Notice does not waive statutory intermediary liability. Where Korean ecommerce-law deadlines apply, we provide a progress update within three business days after intake and an investigation result or handling plan within ten business days.
8. Service, Security, and Responses
Email submission may not replace a legally required method of service. If original documents or service at a designated address are required, follow the method provided in our response.
We may respond through encrypted files, access-restricted links, or separately delivered passwords. Messages containing malicious files, executables, or links requiring external sign-in may be quarantined or rejected for security reasons.
